Avengers movie review

Kuvahaun tulos haulle avengersGetting back into the MCU, next up in line is Avengers. For this one I was expecting just a chaos of too many superheroes beating around hordes of baddies in a catastrophic mess of an action movie. And well in many ways I was right, but strangely I still really enjoyed it.

The movie starts with briefly reintroducing all of the superheroes of the cast just to catch everyone up to what’s happening, since it has been four years between some of the characters standalone movies and this one. This beginning segment of introducing a new character after another lasts for a full hour. Sure there is at least something happening plot wise but still thats a long time just to get all the character introduced.

While everyone’s getting introduced they are being recruited for a team of heroes called Avengers to avenge Loki for taking the Tesseract, a source of infinite energy, from this espionage agency called S.H.I.E.L.D. Loki plans on using the tesseract to open a gateway between earth and another dimension, from where an army of bad guys can come down and take over earth making Loki the king. But since earth has the amazing group of mismatched heroes with different amount of capabilities, we’re not gonna go down without a fight. And so the battle begins.

From all the heroes in Avengers: Thor, Captain America, Ironman, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawk Eye, half of the group feels really useless, since well they are basically just humans. Compared to the demigod, millionaire with a robot suit filled with missiles and lasers and the indistructable green giant, they don’t really rank up. Through out the whole movie they just do some really minor supporting roles that basically anyone could have done and it just feels like they came to the wrong fight. And with all the heroes present, there were so many characters to keep up with that the movie was really difficult to follow at times. Jumping between six different heroes' points of view and keeping up with the main villain Loki for two and a half hours got a bit overwhelming.

But even still the movie was a lot of fun to watch. It had all the action anyone could ever ask for and the fight scenes were really pleasing to look at. I just couldn’t help but to feel like a little kid  again, watching all of these superheroes going around kicking so much ass, that i can just imagine how pumped actuals kids were while watching this film.
